How to spend the day during your periods
So there are different things that I can try to help me spend the day just as I normally would! But what exactly should I do on the days I have my period?
Let's take a look at how your body changes!
After you get up in the morning
●Pick clothes you are going to wear
Check your bed when you first get up. If the sheet is soiled, ask your parent or guardian to wash it immediately. Pick an outfit that is suited to the activity planned you have for the day. Wear darker colors when your flow is heavy, just in case.
●Don't skip breakfast
You tend to become anemic during your period. Make sure to eat breakfast to help avoid becoming anemic. Spinach and fruits that are rich in iron are good for you.
Before going to school
●Don't forget to take your pads with you
Put pads in a pouch and take them with you to use while you are at school. Choose the right pad according to the activity planned for the day. If you forget to take your pads, ask the school nurse for some.
●Make sure to go to the bathroom during your break period
You won't be able to concentrate during class if you are worried about leakage. Change your pad every time you have a break so you don't have any worries during class and you can stay feeling refreshed.
●Use winged pads to give yourself peace of mind!
Use slim pads with wings when you have gym class. If you use slim pads, you don't have to worry about panty lines! If you are not sure about doing intensive exercising, like a marathon, don't force yourself and ask your parent or guardian to write an excuse note so you can sit the activity out.
●Don't forget when you are playing
When you are having fun, like playing with your friends after school, you may forget to change your pad. Make sure you change your pad just as you do every time there's a break during school.
Before going to bed
●Get more rest than usual
Replace your pad with an overnight or long-lasting pad before going to bed. If you are still concerned about leakage, wear thicker panties over the one you are wearing or place a bath towel under your hips.
